Discovering Your Passion: How I Started Making Beats as a Hobby

We all have unique interests and hobbies that we enjoy spending time doing. For me, making beats is one of my favorite pastimes. I first started during my freshman year of high school, and it all began with a video game on PlayStation called MTV Music Generator.

Playing this game sparked my interest in creating music, and I quickly learned how to combine various elements to produce melodies and rhythms. I started developing melodies using a small Casio keyboard with this newfound knowledge.

As I continued to hone my skills, I discovered Fruity Loops, a computer software that allowed me to take my beat-making to a whole new level. Since then, I have been creating music for over 20 years, and it’s hard to imagine not having the skill to make beats.

Despite being a hobby, I have accomplished a few notable accolades in the music industry. For example, while still in high school, my cousin and I won a local contest for the city transportation services. I produced most of Turbo T. Double’s Lightbulb Level in college and several beats within his Electro Rock series.

Music-making has become an integral part of my life, and I relish every moment I spend on it. Through this hobby, I have learned to appreciate the power of creativity and the importance of pursuing our passions. Whether it’s music or any other hobby, we should always find time to indulge in activities that bring us joy and fulfillment.
